A 55-year-old man was charged in court on Wednesday with aggravated outrage of modesty.
The police said they received a report on Saturday that a 29-year-old woman had been molested by a man in the vicinity of Joo Chiat Road. Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTVs and police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the man's identity and arrested him on Monday.
If found guilty of aggravated outrage of modesty, the man faces a jail term between two and ten years, and caning. The police said they have zero tolerance towards sexual offenders who threaten the personal safety of the community, adding:"Offenders will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law."
