2/The state of those children breaks the hearts of anyone who watches how they live. One wonders if it’s out of love or religion that they shouldn’t be taken care of by even an atheist. Humanity should be our first religion. After all, all religions preach love for our neighbors.

Do almajiris exist in core Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Malaysia, Indonesia etc? If they do not, does it mean that the system is more of a cultural thing than religious? The answer may help to resolve this issue.
