Consulting bigwig PwC has been caught out in solar power developer Sun Cable’s collapse, owed money for advisory work on the company’s flagship Australia-Asia PowerLink project.
PwC is one of a handful of firms heavily involved in planning Sun Cable’s proposed Australia-Asia PowerLink project. It is not known how much PwC is owed, and administrator FTI declined to comment. Sources said PwC’s claim was likely to be less than some engineering groups, including international firm Bechtel, which was appointed to oversee AAPowerLink’s project delivery in 2021.include transmission specialist Hatch, giant insurance broker and risk adviser Marsh, and SMEC, a specialist engineering and design consultancy owned by Singapore government-owned Surbana Jurong Group.
