Major groups and individuals aim to bring Eskom and the government to court over “unconstitutional load shedding”, which has put South Africa on a knife’s edge.

The department of public enterprises, power utility Eskom, and the National Energy Regulator of South Africa could find themselves in court over load shedding, reported theProminent advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi SC confirmed to City Press on Friday that he had the backing of major groups and individuals to take the government and Eskom to court.

Ngcukaitobi said the government had made contradictory statements regarding its plans to stop load shedding. He added that Eskom’s “arbitrary way” of deciding on load shedding stages without warning is unacceptable. He said that court documents were likely to be served on Eskom, Nersa and the department of public enterprises this coming week.

Activist group, Rise Mzansi, said that the effects of load shedding, a tariff increase more than three times the rate of inflation, and the rest of South Africa’s crumbling infrastructure presents an emerging picture of a country facing failure and collapse.

Too little, too late. My business is done for. Between COVID and ESCOM, myself and my family will be on the streets by the end of next month. Congratulations ANC, you F'd over another white family.

Why are Big business so silent? They must unite and demand answers from the ANC government regarding Eskom Loadshedding going out of control? because they are losing billions daily and can't no longer stay productive and will be forced to cut staff if stage 6 continue?

How do we add treason to the complaint?

It's really good idea
