Ramaphosa filed papers for the court to review and set aside the section 89 panel report that was handed to National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula in November last year.
He argued that the party was entitled to be made an intervening party because it made submissions to the section 89 panel. Ramaphosa's lawyers referred the party to court and indicated that they would not oppose its application to be joined in the case as one of the respondents.
