Alabama’s Republican attorney general said this week that women in the state who use prescription medication to terminate their pregnancies could be prosecuted under a chemical-endangerment law

, even though Alabama’s anti-abortion law does not intend to punish women who receive abortions. Steve Marshall made the comments in the wake of a decision earlier this month by the US Food and Drug Administration to allow certified pharmacies to dispense the abortion medication mifepristone to people who have a prescription.

Emma Roth, an attorney with Pregnancy Justice, a nonprofit that provides legal representation for women charged with crimes related to pregnancy, said on Twitter that the effect of Marshall’s comments will be to create “a culture of fear among pregnant women.” The comments are “extremely concerning and clearly unlawful,” Roth elaborated in a statement to CNN.

So get as many prescriptions as you can so when you or friends need them, you have them.

So I guess we are going to abolish HIPAA? It’s none of the government’s business what prescriptions a woman gets. But cool, we’ll be able to look at his mistress’s health records & see when she gets her abortion.

What a piece of work he is 😡👎👎

Why do we all sit out here and argue and pretend like we don’t know how pregnancies work and the timelines in which you can get pregnant? Do I want to force Women have babies.. no but quit, pretending you don’t understand how it happens and how to prevent it. Monsters

Is this guy immortal? Just asking

What a red-neck state!

Good God, where do these people come from and how do they get a job? Leave women alone!!

The party of small government no more. I’m sure telling prospective college students that if they happen to get a legally prescribed Rx to terminate a pregnancy in the privacy of their home, they will be prosecuted will do wonders for their enrollment.

Will I need to take a pregnancy test before I take my meds now?

Talabama. When does stoning for adultery and homosexuality begin.😏
