that the state’s fetal heartbeat law is unconstitutional because it violates the state constitution’s privacy protections.
“The State unquestionably has the authority to limit the right of privacy that protects women from state interference with her decision, but any such limitation must be reasonable and it must be meaningful in that the time frames imposed must afford a woman sufficient time to determine she is pregnant and to take reasonable steps to terminate that pregnancy,” Hearn wrote.
“Abortion presents an important moral and policy issue. The citizens, through their duly elected representatives, have spoken. The South Carolina legislature, not this court, should determine matters of policy,” he added.State v. Steadman
So the SC Supreme Court suggests that it’s ok to kill a fetus, a human, if it is done in private. Just don’t tell anyone. Do it in private, I guess. What a perverse interpretation of ‘privacy’. All to maintain PP financial income! SPairborne RagBone7 RandPaul GOP
God puts a soul in a mother's womb at conception. This truly is murder. Satan tricks women into murder and she just ends up being a mother to a dead child. If the mother dies, her baby goes to heaven but she goes to hell. Though shalt not murder.
😭
Aborting a baby violates the US constition which guarantees the right to 'life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.'
There shouldn't be any right to privacy when it's about killing someone
Why follow people that give human life less value than that of animals? Why listen to people who can’t/won’t define a woman? If abortion is a good thing then why don’t pro choice commit abortions upon themselves and not a baby? What is the market price for parts nowadays?
Sickos
If a baby has a heart beat - it’s alive!

Morning after pill. However if you're worried that taking a morning after pill every day could be harmful... you got other problems.
So, by a voye of 3 to 2, the SC Supreme Court makes the same assault on the law that Roe v. Wade did. South Carolina had an abortion statute in place for nigh on 100 years, and, somehow, the right to privacy was missed? This is CRAP, and should not stand.
Absolutely disgusting a heartbeat is the sign of life anything man does to God's creation after that is murder.
At what age can a Mother terminate the child? Its a privacy thing, right? Before birth? After the birth?
This is a sad time when Gods creations can be terminated
Medical science says there is no real fetal heartbeat at 6 weeks gestation because there are no heart valves. The real question about abortion is “ensoulment,” & science has never found, nor does the U.S. Constitution affirm, the existence of the soul, tied to a heartbeat or not.
What about the baby’s privacy?
Isn't getting an abortion a medical procedure? Or do they do it without confirmation?
So, they have to know our vax status, but no right to know when a pregnant woman is going to kill a baby? Scumbags.
BS BANABORTIONNOW
The corruption is beyond belief.
The right to life should supercede other made up concerns..
Pulling that “right to privacy” bullshit out of the air just like they did in the 70s
What privacy protections?
WTF - so now there's supposedly a privacy protection if you want to kill another living human? Will they apply that precedent in the next murder trial? Your rights end where another human's rights begin - heartbeat might not be the right timepoint, but it's certainly B4 birth
We demand the right to kill children! -Democrats
Breathtakingly sad! Violates the mother's privacy but obliterates and eliminates the baby's. Disturbing on many levels. Margaret Sanger would be dancing happily in her grave.
Do you think this issue is better off left to the states or should something like Senator Graham's national abortion bill be reconsidered?
Very sad! Stealing destinies of humans…abortion is evil!
How could it possibly violate privacy? I think some of those justices have been doing business with Planned Parenthood because there's no way to read the law and come up with that conclusion.
What about the baby's privacy?
