We asked experts to choose the next House speaker. Picks ranged from the Supreme Court to the football field.

, the House Freedom Caucus demagogued Black history, invoking Martin Luther King Jr. and Frederick Douglass, to nominate under-experienced Rep. Byron Donald for speaker. But based on a serious reading of GOP history and Black history, I would nominate former House Whip Rep. James Clyburn . After all, the first African American to be seated in Congress and the first to preside over the House was another Black South Carolinian, the Republican and Reconstruction era congressman, Joseph H. Rainey.

So long as we’re talking Cheneys, why not go back to the Old Original, who after all learned to count votes during his stint as minority whip back in the 1980s? The family’s outspokenness about January 6 would pry loose a certain number of Democratic votes.

'Experts'😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Stop trippin.....

I'm not saying that a football field would be a good Speaker, but it couldn't be worse than Kevin McCarthy.

Hmmm, who are your experts? 'Michael Schaffer, senior editor at POLITICO' HAHAHAHAH!!!!

My dog. She 'speaks' very well.

Picking experts? How about noses?

South Carolina Supreme Court to hear appeal about electric chair, firing squad's legalitySouth Carolina's highest court will hear arguments Thursday on whether a newly organized firing squad or the old electric chair are legal ways to execute inmates in the state, which has been unable to obtain drugs for lethal injections. Gross I’m assuming that most, if not all people on death row have been found guilty of murder. Just a thought…. Why not kill them in the same manner they killed their victim(s) 🤷‍♂️. Seems reasonable to me. Meh, just bring back Scaphism execution
