Royal College of Nursing general secretary patcullen9 has urged Rishi Sunak to “grasp the nettle and negotiate with nurses” in order to halt planned strike action this month

It comes after hopes of a breakthrough to avert another strike were dashed after Mr Sunak declined an offer of a 10 per cent deal on nurses’ pay.programme she would “make the case for nursing in all forums” at the meeting with Mr Barclay.

“But it’s sadly not what’s going to prevent strike action that’s planned for 10 days’ time,” she said.
