Police officers get paid the same, consistent with rank and service. They are not paid less based on skin colour. Seems to be as much bullshit in the Guardian as the Daily Fail.

This and the NHS study earlier this year, said the same thing. BAME candidates have to work harder, longer to achieve the same grades/positions, hence the wage gap. The pity is the economy loses out on the talent.
