Megan said she and Lanez had become close, bonding over the loss of their mothers, and had an occasionally sexual relationship.Megan's friend Harris had a “crush” on Lanez, who reportedly tried to stir up trouble between the women by telling Megan she needed to stop lying to her friend. The argument spiraled out of control, and became even more heated when she and Lanez started trashing each other's music and careers, Megan said.

Megan accused Drake of using her for"clout" on his track Circo Loco. Megan reacted furiously on Twitter, writing:"since when it is cool to joke about women getting shot?" She went on to say"weak... conspiracy theories" had been attached to her name and hit out at rappers who"pile on a black woman when she says one of y'all homeboys abused her". Drake has not directly commented on the reaction to the track.
