Family members of a policeman, Abiona Hezekiah Adebowale allegedly stabbed to death by naval ratings are demanding justice for their son. The family said Abiona died on duty serving the nation, stressing that the government and police authorities should not allow his service to the nation to be a waste. They also announced that Abiona will be buried on Friday, January 13, 2023, at his residence on Tejuola Street in Owode, Ogun State.

They also announced that Abiona will be buried on Friday, January 13, 2023, at his residence on Tejuola Street in Owode, Ogun State. “He was the officer that returned N5m cash belonging to the then Skye Bank now Polaris Bank in 2017 and was recognised by the Lagos state former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode with a letter of recommendation to the Inspector General of Police in 2017 which fetched him a double promotion.

SaharaReporters gathered that the late Assistant Superintendent of Police and his colleagues were on a patrol on December 3 around Oluti Street when the naval ratings, including Onyekachi Egwumian, 27; and Ebubechukin Growth, 28, who were on a motorcycle, were flagged down by the cops.An argument subsequently ensued among the men, which degenerated.
