JOHANNESBURG - The South African Communist Party and Chris Hani’s widow, Limpho, are taking the battle over Janusz Walus’ parole to the African Commission on Human and People’s Rights.
The Constitutional Court last month set aside a decision Justice Minister Ronald Lamola took in March 2020 to refuse Walus parole, ordering his release. The application was on, however, dismissed on Friday.Walus was convicted of Hani's murder in 1993 and sentenced to death but after the death penalty was abolished this was commuted to life in prison. The communist party wants full disclosure of what really happened on the day Hani died and in the lead, up thereto.
And so, now, having exhausted all other legal avenues in the country, they are escalating the matter by approaching the commission. In the meantime, they’re also continuing with a 135-day programme of mass mobilisation they’ve adopted with their tripartite alliance partners, the ANC and Cosatu.
I sympathize with Hani Family. These Judges have been long chowed by these White Western Judges. Only Revolution by the masses will save us now.
He served his sentence fighting him won't bring Chris back... We lost our loved ones too... In a strange way but our lives goes on
In SA only cadres of ANC get parole!
mckhumble Time to let go Mrs Hani. Man done is time. Assassins never disclose information. He will never give you what you want and even courts can't deny him parole because he don't want to tell you who sent him to kill your husband. He's done his time.
And ate they going to take all the thousands of black people who murder the farmers as well because they are thousands and this was one man !
I'm happy to join those who are sharing the good news about Brandonkaren11 I'm not persuading anyone to trade with her but i advise every investor to make the right choice when it comes to Bitcoin mining i got my withdrawal safely without any interruption
Boo fukken hoo. Get over it
😴
Limpho must be hurt, but truth be told guys ... the guy served his time. Denying him parole is denying him his Constitutional right.
Playful
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡🤡
Get over it the world does not revolve around you woman!
Does the commission have any jurisdiction in South Africa ?
😂
Just don't use Dali.
I hope the court finds that he had to be released on parole 10 years ago and compensate him for the lost years.

Sadly they forget that human rights stretch to and include those who are or who have served their time in prison! It's a total waste of time and energy. That guy has paid for his sins.
