Without question, Ginni Thomas has an “interest that could be substantially affected by the outcome” of the Jan. 6 committee’s subpoena of Ward’s phone records. Also, without question, Justice Thomas knew it when he cast his dissenting vote to bar disclosure. The eight other justices know it, too. Yet so far, they have done nothing about a fellow justice’s blatant violation of a federal law designed to protect the integrity of the court on which they serve. Understandably, the justices are reluctant to police their colleagues. But Justice Thomas’ extraordinary conduct calls for an extraordinary response. For starters, Thomas’ colleagues should publicly censure him.
What a waste of words
You’re a racist!
I applaud the journalist Amanda Frost for this article - TRUTH. Thank you 👏👏👏👏👏
So funny slate how hypocritical your articles are. Get all the facts please. And maybe report the truth. Might be nice.
The Honorable Marshall didn’t particularly care if Bush appointed a Black Justice or white to replace him, it has been reported. He said, “ there is no difference between a Black snake and a white snake. They both bite.” The Honorable Thurgood Marshall was right.
By doing nothing, SCOTUS members violate litigants' right to be heard by an impartial judge-- yet they choose not to take any action at all. No wonder we have trust issues.
Get over it ! Suck it up buttercup
Is it cynical to point out that a corrupt justice who is a non- white male is how extreme right-wing GOP hedge their bets? If he carries their water for them, their agenda wins, & if a Black justice turns out to be corrupt, their racist ideology wins. (America loses either way.)
Problem is, none have done it for a century.
Not news. And instigating.
