A Federal Court is slated to begin two days of hearings today into the Liberal government\u0027s refusal to repatriate 19 Canadians in Syria.

Family members for the six women and 13 children are expected to argue that the government’s refusal to help them, as well as some Canadian men, amounts to a breach of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.Sign up to receive daily headline news from the Calgary SUN, a division of Postmedia Network Inc.By clicking on the sign up button you consent to receive the above newsletter from Postmedia Network Inc. Global Affairs says in the document that it has begun assessments to determine whether to provide that assistance. A handful of women and children have returned to Canada from the region in recent years, but for the most part, Canada has not followed the path of other countries that have successfully repatriated citizens.

The Canadian citizens are among the many foreign nationals in Syrian camps run by Kurdish forces that reclaimed the war-torn region from the extremist Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

Feds assessing potential repatriation of Canadian women and children held in Syria: documentThe federal government is looking at potentially helping to secure the release of 19 Canadian women and children being held in northeastern Syria, a recently filed court document says. They made their choice to be traitors to Canada; let them stay right where they are! If Trudeau repatriate those terrorists, don't blame our Muslim community that work hard, pay tax and are good neighbours when next terrorist attack happens. Blame Trudau and his government. How about NO, they went there of their own free will, probably helped against allied forces, the women of the talaban helped plant mines and maintain weapons, had kids to increase the population of the enemy, leave them there 🙄
