Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, has disclosed that he resisted"the temptation" to merge the Federal Road Special Corps with some other government agencies, while he served as President. This was contained in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi, on Friday, noting that the agency’s responsibilities were getting larger and larger by the day.

He said “One thing you have to accept is that with the growing population, which is increasing on a daily basis or even on an hourly basis, you manage both the driver and the car, which may not be in the best condition that a car should be,” Obasanjo said.
