Victims of the Uvalde school shooting that left 21 people dead have filed a lawsuit seeking US$27 billion against local and state police, the city and other school and law enforcement officials.

People hold up pictures of Eliahna Torres as they parade in a large group through Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in Uvalde, Texas, Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022, to visit the gravesites of Robb Elementary massacre victims and observe Dia de los Muertos together.

Among those who filed the lawsuit are school staff and representatives of minors who were present at Robb Elementary when a gunman stormed the campus, killing 19 children and two teachers in the deadliest school shooting in the U.S. in nearly a decade. City of Uvalde officials said they had not been served the paperwork as of Friday and did not comment on pending litigation.

A group of the survivors also sued Daniel Defense, the company that made the gun used by the shooter, and the store where he bought the gun. That separate lawsuit seeks US$6 billion in damages.

Oh of course. Gotta have money right? makes sense.. 🙄

The cowardice of the people paid to protect was shameful, I hope this suit brings the actions of individuals to light.

$27B would bankrupt the state. If that outcome and money will make the families feel better, so be it.

I can’t think of anything more important than getting justice for these families. The people sworn to protect these children had a duty to respond.

Nova Scotia needs to do the same thing.

Only problem is,since law enforcement is publicly funded, taxpayers will foot the bill in the event of a victory Theyre basically suing themselves I say file suit against each and every cop. Go after their salary and pensions.

Very reasonable. Alex Jones will never have 23 billion but he deserves it. Good to know the US court system is very fair and not at all running under opinion.

Squeeze every penny you can.

Fake news

Rightly so! They deserve every penny and more. Imagine having your children slaughtered while the police just stood by and let it happen. Unimaginable cowardice.

Money eh !!!

Victims of alleged currency exchange in Richmond, B.C. say they lost millions | CBC NewsVictims say they have lost hundreds of thousands in foreign currency exchanges with an alleged fraudster. According to experts, exchange businesses, while legal, operate in an area that lacks regulation, making consumers vulnerable to fraud and creating the potential for millions of dollars to be laundered into British Columbia. Lol. Under the table currency exchange? Sounds like money laundering to me, fuck em. more chinese shenanigans in canadian real estate. the solution: seize every chinese owned home in Canada, send them back to their home country. Canadian homes for Canadian kids! Dealing with money transaction in big amounts under the radar of government eyes one is at a high risk. Common sense becomes diluted with a good story back by a teflon smile.
