Alabama has a new law in January allowing gun owners to carry their pistols and rifles without a permit, but that doesn't apply to Huntsville's large Redstone Arsenal. Arsenal officials have made that clear.Don’t pack your pistol on Huntsville’s Redstone Arsenal without permission regardless of Alabama’s new no-permit-needed gun law. And don’t carry your rifle or shotgun, either, without authorization.
Gov. Kay Ivey signed House Bill 272 in March repealing the state’s former requirement for a permit to carry a concealed handgun or other weapons. The law takes effect Jan. 1. The 38,000-acre arsenal on Huntsville’s west side extends from Interstate 565 south to the Tennessee River. Hunting and skeet shooting are both permitted with garrison approval and registration.
Good Luck with that!!
Only the weak & pathetic of society open carries, it shows, how it makes them feel superior, makes them their doing something important!!! It only shows how chicken shit our society is, to feel the need to open carry!!!
And if you're smart, don't wear it exposed...you're more likely to be challenged..and if you're not properly trained, it might not end well.
Military installation. Not state property..rules are different
