This prosecutor was fired because he REFUSED TO FOLLOW THE LAW! Period. This is also a flimsy effort to use federal law to work around DeSantis's clear authority to do this under the Florida Constitution.
The prosecutor publicly promised not to enforce ANY laws on two entire subjects; subjects which he saw as his own, despite what the legislature put into law. How can an enforcement arm of the law be deemed competent if it said it wouldn’t enforce the law?
