2.2 million? Most people don't come close to that amount if injured on the job.

I wish i had her lawyer...the one i used made me wait 5 yrs..then told me there wasn't a court date set and that could be another 5 yrs away

ICBC eats their own.

So from the article she tried to stop the vehicle from colliding with the other vehicle by stepping on break and turning steering wheel… so it should be 50% her fault …

How do they come up with 2.2 million? 😂 sure in the hell ain’t lost wages. My brother got in an accident (broadsided after the person ran a red light) in Vernon 6 years ago and broke his back and they fought him on it and he only got 60k . Still has issues with it today.

🤬🤬🤬

So, Canadians are now starting to litigate like Americans? Thought we had laws and policies that protect people's rights?

I thought that in BC you cannot sue and ICBC is the only judge jury and executioner?

So much for no-fault!

Sounds like a bunch of BS. Why such a high payout, I know ppl who actually were seriously hurt. This smells like 💩

Seems reasonable

Did the person ever get licensed?

Yet now with no fault the average person gets f all. Not saying she doesn't deserve it but so do the rest of seriously injured people.

I guess it’s who you know twotiered

Now with Icbc’s enhanced care you get 2 months massage therapy, Chiro, acupuncture, physio and counselling. Oh and they make you use EI as your first resort from an accident. No more pain and suffering payouts. Icbc is a scam

This is absolutely absurd!!!

Crazy job to begin with- the would never sit with a new driver😬

I once was T boned and spun around 270 degrees. Icbc gave me $6000. Maybe I should have got a lawyer. 😓

The union should keep paying her she can't do her job she's traumatized.

Lol

Oh dear god… Her lawyer must be really good…
