LIVE | Phala Phala fallout: Ramaphosa will make announcement in due course - Gungubele

The rand is down 0.9% to the dollar since the report was released - dropping to R17.15. However the fall in relation to the pound has been much steeper - falling 1.6% to reach R20.60.I have reached out to some of Ramaphosa's closest allies who have expressed absolute shock at the findings of the Section 89 Panel. One close ally said:"things just got real".There appears to be no clarity yet on the way forward and for now they are grappling with how Ngcobo came to his conclusions.

“The conclusions of the panel require careful reading and appropriate consideration in the interest of the stability of government and that of the country,” the statement read. Furthermore, Ramaphosa’s office is giving consideration to the report and an announcement will be made in due course.Minutes after the independent panel's report on the Phala Phala matter was published, presidential spokesperson Vincent Magwenya's media engagement, scheduled for Thursday, has been cancelled.

The independent panel appointed by National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula to investigate whether there was any evidence of wrongdoing on President Cyril Ramaphosa's part in the Phala Phala saga has said there exists “prima facie” evidence that he breached anti-corruption laws.

He must go that bustard go!!!

We don't have the whole day. He must go!

I smell a rat here. Cyril is on way out judging by the statement of Mondli and Sbongile. I might be wrong judging by Pule also. But on the probability of scale the man will resign. Yhoooooo lemkilizwe emaseleni bawo

He must resign

Isn't it poetic that should he step aside, Mabuza will be acting president, a man who himself was 'victim' of a farmhouse robbery in 2009 of a reported R14m....

Jomo Gungubele.

If the president loses to them in December, he is going to jail, unlike him they'll be decisive about it and no one in Limpopo, Chiawelo or any other province will loot to support him, just glad he is not the type of person who would expect people to loot in his name

I think this time around we can enjoy Family meeting 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

My President. My nonchalantant leadership...

Puppet of the Zionist must vacate

Long expired. He should have come clean from day 1 of June 2022, no infact of March 2020.

I hope he doesn't resign We will be trouble

The 'think tankers' madoda

You must pack in the meantime. You are toast.

Waiting ...

Check this out Ramaphosa must just go back to being a Billionaire, Mkhize must become President so that we can finally vote this bloody party out of power once and for all.
