A sudden increase in prisoners in the UK has forced ministers to request use of 400 police cells to hold extra prisoners. Labour has called the decision yet another crisis created by a 'shambolic' Tory government. darshnasoni reports.

Ministers have revealed that they’ve been forced to make an urgent request to use four hundred police cells to hold prisoners.

The Justice Minister pinned the blame on the impact of the pandemic and the barristers’ strike but Labour called it yet “another crisis created by this shambolic Tory government”.

darshnasoni There is a whole no prison on the Isle of Wight called camp hill was refurbished at the cost of millions to the tax payer… now sits empty falling apart. it can hold 500 prisoners.
