Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins spoke today in an address to the National Press Club about employer duty regarding sex discrimination and addressing gender inequality in the last 50 years.

Ms Jenkins says she applied “pragmatism, persistence and patience” in her role to address discrimination and gender inequality.

“There was real political commitment and consequently we saw a range of profound legal policy and social changes that are still in place today.”
