Dang then ended the script and alerted two members of the Alberta NDP caucus, who passed the tip to Alberta Health without revealing the source of the information. Defence lawyer Michael Batesthe security flaw was eventually fixed with a CAPTCHA, a test that differentiates between bots and humans. “We know they knew about the hack the day it happened, and we know they lied to hide Dang’s identity,” he said. “It took an RCMP warrant and a raid for Dang to come clean. What’s it going to take for Notley?”
