The Supreme Court sounded divided Tuesday over a clash between President Biden and the state of Texas involving immigration enforcement.
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas backed off the hard-line approach of the Trump administration and issued enforcement guidelines that called for focusing on detaining and deporting immigrants who were a danger to public safety. A second provision says the government “shall detain” an immigrant who had been ordered to be “removed” or deported.
She urged justices to rein in the growing practice of states suing to overturn or block presidential orders and policies they oppose.
Another useless stunt from both sides, want to stop illegal immigration, lock up those who hire said immigrants nonstop.
Congress going to give more money to President Biden so he can enforce the idiot system of laws Congress put in place?
Shouldn't be a mystery. Deport means deport, detain means detain (for deportation). Can't believe the court has to waste it's time ruling on foolish things like this.
CAFA1968 By all means, please contradict the reasoning behind your Muslim ban ruling, federalist society SCOTUS. I don’t think enough people realize how illegitimate and corrupt you’ve become.
Of course it’s divided. You have justices who follow the constitution and justices who are beholden to the federalist society.
🤣
Well the Biden Administration would like all the borders to be completely open. Fentanyl criminals and all sorts of other drugs pouring in.. that's my opinion I really truly believe it's true. I don't know why they're like that now it doesn't even make sense
