In a recent interview for the Star’s “It’s Political” podcast
Psychiatrist Derryck Smith called Lametti’s comments “terrible,” “very distressing,” “so misinformed” and “unbelievable.” Brian Mishara, the director of the Centre for Research and Intervention on Suicide, Ethical Issues and End-of-Life Practices at the Université du Québec in Montreal, said Lametti is treating MAID as if it were any other medical treatment that needs to be widely available rather than as a measure of last recourse.
But it does prompt the question: are we willing to end people’s lives through MAID knowing that some of them could otherwise have gone on to lead happy lives?

Well, that's basically my backup plan in life should I get really sick in order to save tax payers money. Will just off myself at home, or in a lake, maybe a ditch...I'll have to give it some more thought and planning as I get older.

11-22-22 when I realized my wallet wasn't in my pocket, I went back to the Metro at Eg. E & Markham to ask if it was turned. It wasn't. The person who stole it left me devastated. Within was about $100 plus all my ID's. Not happy with that, the thief removed another $400.Pt1
