Mobolaji Olajuwon, the presiding judge, ruled that IGP be committed to prison and detained for a period of three months, or until he obeys the order.Advertisement Reacting to the court-ordered conviction in a statement on Tuesday, Muyiwa Adejobi, force spokesperson, said the news of the sentencing of the IGP is “strange and astonishing” since the last judgment on the case was in 2011, and not during the administration of the current IGP.
“The most recent judgement on the matter was given in 2011 which should ordinarily not fall under the direct purview of the current administration of the Force. Thus, the news is strange and astonishing.
And so? As if the Learned Justice who sentenced the IGP wasn't aware of the chronology of the case. Infact, it is the very disturbing history of the case and the consistent Pooh poohing of the judgments of the Courts that impelled the learned Judge to convict the IGP for contempt
A season of divine justice looms in Nigeria.... and it is an inevitability. 🙏
That's serious
