Conor McGregor makes 'proposal' to gardai as he appears before court in dangerous driving case

Conor McGregor's legal team have made a "proposal" to gardai in his dangerous driving case as he appeared before a court this morning.

The 34-year-old UFC star was back in Blanchardstown District Court, where he fist-pumped fans and posed for pictures afterwards. The fighter's motoring charges relate to alleged offences on March 22 this year, when he was stopped and arrested by gardai on the N4/M50 interchange in Palmerstown and on the Lucan road.The Crumlin native - the world's highest paid athlete last year - was driving his 191 Bentley Continental GT, worth around €170,000, at the time.They are driving without a licence and insurance as well as failing to produce a licence and insurance within 10 days of the alleged incident.After 11.

His barrister David Staunton told Judge David McHugh that they have instructions to make a proposal to gardai. Mr Staunton said he spoke to the prosecuting garda who now needs to consult with the Director of Public Prosecutions.As he left the court building, McGregor said: "All good, all good. Lovely day, great to be back."

Would it not just be easier to get a license and insurance in the first place? The mad driving's a different matter.

Sorry this is wrong on every level, who does e think he is. Does this mean every ordinary joe soap can make a proposal instead of answering for your crime of breaking the law..more of the brown envelope generation of rule breakers ...
