One investigation is focused on the former president’s efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election and the attack on the US Capitol by his supporters. Pence’s testimony could help shed light on Trump’s bid to block the 6 January 2021 certification by Congress of Democrat Joe Biden’s election victory.
