Members of the Oyo State House of Assembly have passed the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo Bill 2022 into law.The bill makes it possible for the changing of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, to Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo.DAILY POST learnt that the law has made provisions for the establishment, constitution and functions of the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education in Oyo.

Speaker of the house, Adebo Ogundoyin, who spoke during the plenary, explained that the passage of the bill was another milestone in the history of the 9th State House of Assembly. The Minority Leader of the Assembly, Asimiyu Alarape, who is from Oyo, in his remarks, said it was a dream come true. He added that the agitation for changing the college of education to a university had been on for a long time.

Another lawmaker, Isiaka Kazeem Tunde, in his contribution, said the passage of the bill into law will enhance the socioeconomic activities of the town.
