New York Governor Kathy Hochul signed legislation on Tuesday to move forward with efforts to clean up transportation.
Homeowners' associations would be able to weigh in on the matter, but the whole initiative was created to make it easier for all New Yorkers to transition to electric vehicles. The action taken by Gov. Hochul contributes to the state's goal of reaching 850,000 zero-emission vehicles by 2025. The state hopes all new passenger vehicles in New York will be electric by 2035.

What happens to people who live in pre-war apartment buildings that have no place to charge and no charging station to leave the car at while it charges? I'd buy one tomorrow if I had a place to park and charge it within 700ft of my 120yr old building. Otherwise what am to do?
Follow the science Kathy. Only 4% of our power is from renewable sources. Plugging cars into a fossil based power grid does nearly nothing to help the environment. Our electric bills are insane; fix that first!
