A Texas legislator proposed a bill for to make it legal for pregnant women to drive in the HOV lane, with the unborn child as the second occupant.

A man in Houston, Texas was killed after climbing on top of an 18-wheeler, dancing on top of it, and falling off when the truck went under a bridge. proposed a bill for the 2023 session that would allow pregnant women to drive in the HOV lane.

Texas State Rep. Briscoe Cain, a Republican, filed the bill which made it onto the agenda for the January 2023 legislative session. Cain’s bill states,"An operator of a motor vehicle who is pregnant is entitled to use any high occupancy vehicle lane in this state regardless of whether the vehicle is occupied by a passenger other than the operator’s unborn child."

That should pass, just to prove that an unborn baby is a human being. But she would have to prove the baby was over 25 weeks or they would have to give her a ticket

I wonder if this bill aims to establish precedent of when personhood begins to aid future anti-abortion legislation 🤔
