Is that not what our representatives do every day in the Dail to the detriment of the ordinary people.?

Drew Harris said Gardai would intervene if a crime was being committed. I don't need to know the facts of this case to see from the video that Gardai literally stood there watching an assault. I had high hopes for Mr Harris.Very disappointing and I expect better from our Number1

The unionist thugs or the vigilantes, I'm lost

Yeas indeed An illegal eviction that results in two serious assaults and the damage & illegal occupation of a house sure sounds like a very serious crime to me!

Well, now we know why Drew Harris got the job. He’s a Yes-man appointed to preserve the status quo. More of the same.

campaignforleo ByebyeLeo and take the myopic Commissioner with you journalismmatters journalismmatter but not to the Irish Times. Roscommon and related housing / homelessness crisis has been a case study in contempt the media, gardai and gov have for the people of Ireland.

This song springs to mind somehow!!

'Give families a chance to stay in their homes': Hundreds attend anti-eviction protest in RoscommonIndependent TD Michael Fitzmaurice said politicians need to bring in legislation to make sure recent incidents are not repeated. How many chances did they want? This lad took the piss and got evicted and the politicos are jumping in support to fuel their own agendas but no such coverage for those willing but struggling to make payments. Fuck sake this process started in 2009. They were given every chance. A lending system that does not permit the calling in of collateral is seriously dysfunctional. Do people attending these protests not realise they are paying higher interest rates on their own mortgages as a result of it being so difficult to reprocess properties in this country.
