If I leave my car unlocked in a carpark I will be fined if the police find out…but if a large company leaves the cyber door wide open, well lets see if bonuses are still paid.

Resources would be better spent auditing business to ensure they comply with current standards and enforcing current data protection laws which so far Optus and Medibank have failed to meet, im sure there are countless others?

the company that let their customers down are pointing the finger at the hackers.. 🤣🤣 Medibank left the door wide open.. for anyone to walk through.. disgrace! the blame is 100% owned by the insurer..

This has FAIL written all over it

Name and shame, give us all of their information and pictures of what they look like, hit them harder.

What r they doing to stop the hacks in the first place? A lot of this data is supplied & required by Govt laws on Private & Commonwealth records. Why not just one document that has proven u r that person to satisfy Industries, workplaces. Eg Birth certificate with photo?

Where is the financial punishment the government promised? I guess political donors are off limits.
