True 'justice': not having to be annually subjected to a 'word of the year.'

Great choice!

Maybe because it is so difficult to find justice today in our courts? Revenge against the poor and the weak is not Justice! Congratulations to Merriam-Webster for forcing us to reconsider what Justice really means!

3 word nerds

Smocking

Wow, people here are literally arguing with a dictionary to maintain cognitive dissonance. Sad. Poignant.

I thought for sure (investigation) would be the front runner followed by (collusion) and (lied)

There needs to be justice done to the Democrats that are doing all the cheating/lying & voter Fraud !

An ephemeral word.

Even Webster is liberal, what a world

Should have been “tyranny”

I believe that the judicial system is confused what the word 'justice' means.

Nothing like more politics getting rammed down your throat from a dictionary

Or was it because Americans suddenly remembered what 'justice' is?

There are two flavors of justice. Vigilante and legal. Vigilante fills the void left by a lack of legal justice.

Anyone who thinks this should be word of the year is a tool

Lets use it in a sentance. 'Justice the Republicans swept into power in 2016, the Dems did in 2018' 8^D Probably doesn't fit the AP style guide.

As in 'Equal Justice' or................?

Justice is coming.

Everyon has an opinion on what is or isn’t just but when their called on to participate in the system, they roll their eyes and try to get out of it as if involvement is a burden. Justice JuryDuty WordOfTheYear should have been Phony or Hypocrite

Saucy! I approve.

MerriamWebster: justice OxfordDictionary: toxic Dictionarycom: misinformation All appropriate words for the crazy 2018 news cycle. 🙂

I hope we seek it and find it

As in perversion of?

We all have.

Safe choice... as no one can argue that justice is not on their side.

MerriamWebster has done the most epic trolling in 2018! Bravo my dictionary friend. You are my hero! 3

“Injustice” would be more appropriate
