Lancashire Constabulary officers stopped the vehicle after they spotted it going 44mph in a 30mph zone on Squires Gate Lane in Blackpool last Friday . The driver was given a ticket for their road traffic offence.
Targeted stops were also carried out where officer identified a motorist may have been regularly drink or drug-driving. This was in addition to general Operation Vanquish activity going on across the rest of the county, as part of a fortnight of surge activity to target those who use the roads for criminality – from speeding to transporting stolen vehicles or couriering drugs.
