The Johannesburg Property Company – a City entity mandated to manage the City's property portfolio – was responsible for commissioning all the work for the project. According to documents in News24's possession, the entity seemingly paid Sambudla's company, Bayete New Dimension, for work the company never delivered. and acting CFO Sipho Mzobe, who replaced Imraan Bhamjee. Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, former president Jacob Zuma's controversial daughter, married Sambudla in 2011.
