CAVITE Governor Juanito “Jonvic” Remulla Jr. confirmed Thursday that his nephew and son of Department of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla was the person arrested in Las Piñas City on October 11, 2022 for illegal drug possession.

He said the DOJ chief is currently in Geneva and is set to return to the Philippines on Friday, October 14, 2022. “To make everything clear, I will not intervene in nor influence my son's predicament and I have not done so in any way. A person should always face the consequences of their actions and I will let justice take its own course,” he said.

“This is a very difficult time for me and my family, but this is nothing compared to what so many Filipinos are going through. I will respect the justice system and I wish my son a path to redemption,” he said.
