Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lead counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has announced that his client will not appear in court on Tuesday for his appeal against the Nigerian government. Ejiofor, who made this known in a statement on Monday in Owerri, Imo State, dismissed reports that Kanu was scheduled to be in court on Tuesday, saying that the rumour of Kanu’s court case on Tuesday was the handiwork of mischief makers as the proceedings on the case was brought forward to September 13.

Ejiofor, who made this known in a statement on Monday in Owerri, Imo State, dismissed reports that Kanu was scheduled to be in court on Tuesday, saying that the rumour of Kanu’s court case on Tuesday was the handiwork of mischief makers as the proceedings on the case was brought forward to September 13.

Ejiofor in a statement, however, said, “Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has no court case tomorrow, and as such, shall not be appearing in court tomorrow. ONYENDU’s Appeal No CA/ABJ/CR/ 625/2022 between Nnamdi Kanu vs the Federal Republic of Nigeria originally scheduled to be heard tomorrow the 11th Day of October 2022, was brought forward and accordingly heard on the 13th September 2022, now awaiting judgement. As such tomorrow’s earlier date has been vacated.

Lets hope things work out positively for him. I really want peace restored in the eastern region of our state. Its left to him to choose on which part to go after his release. I guess he might have learnt his lessons
