Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, has ruled that the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has the power

to monitor the administration, assessment, collection, accounting and enforcement of taxes in Nigeria.

The defendants in the suit were the attorney-general of the federation and minister of justice, minister of finance and the Federal Inland Revenue Service .
