Maybe Walker needs to be investigated by MUELLER.

Fight back. You won.

Good! We cannot let this stand!

He needs to put his boxing gloves on here! He needs to tell the voters what is going on and get them angrier! He needs to sue the shit out them.

Fight this overthrow!

What the hell is going on there?

Throw the bastard in jail afterwards instead.

CTRL-Z

Sue them out of existence.

embraceemoiq Except their courts all skew red as well.

He should and any other elected official who is facing the same issue.

Thing to do. Walker should veto.

daveweigel Of course he'll sue. It is outrageous.

You need to take legal action if Walker does that.

HighPlainsGirl1 I hope he takes a strong stance and takes legal action. Listening to him on Meet the Press Evers sounds weak. Hope I'm wrong!

windmillcharger Good!!

As he should.

Well what the fuck is he waiting for?

The big issue here is what will the Wisconsin Supreme Court rule since it’s a GOP majority appointed .

ve10ve As he should

Chicken thing to do. But isn't it sort of traditional?

how is that even possible.

Evers would easily win the legal action

realHeatherD I seriously don't understand why lame duck sessions are even allowed. These disgruntled lawmakers who've been booted out by voters are a grave danger to democracy and the will of the people. Undemocratic

Look what the Republicans did to the NC governor.

daveweigel Please do!

I'm behind him, but it shouldn't have to be done! This is nothing more than a bunch of angry, money grubbing, gerrymandering, worthless, group of people who care LITTLE about the people of WISCONSIN! Instead they care about themselves! ScottWalker says the same when he signs.

And I ask again, why aren’t Wisconsinites MARCHING IN THE STREETS?

And not a single member of the GOP has said a word about this blatant power grab. Republicans apparently only believe in democracy when they are on the winning side.

Good. This can’t be allowed to happen. Just more Republican dirty tricks. The people are sick of it.

Idiot

Excellent idea. Fight the Russian gop with the law.

Good for you, this is ridiculous and a message needs to be sent to Republicans that this behavior will NOT me tolerated.

Go for it. Do the right thing but play hard ball!

This is not a power grab, it's a perversion. A Sec. of State or an AG should enforce Campaign Finance laws, not a partisan body like the State legislature. onetoughnerd stabenow Michigan Wisconsin

JuddApatow I wish that I thought to was possible that Scott walker would do the right thing but he’s a republican

AlbertTLunde Get them Tony the Tiger.

what is good for the gooses is good for the gander........gona lose that one toenail

Good. He should use every legal option available to not let the GOP get away with any of this

these folks will fight you tooth &nail, suing them is only a start; they need to be investigated, &whatever their crimes, they need to be prosecuted; confiscate their emails, bring them all in for questioning, see if they've they broken any election laws

Good. The republican party should be razed to the ground, and the ground around it salted.

And he should. You lost election republicans move on

GOP hypocrisy is the new democracy.

He should fight it! he is a class act. And, people should support it!

Isn't ruling it out? He should be PROMISING legal action!!!!!!

daveweigel Isn’t ruling out? Why Aren’t democrats aggressively fighting back. This is why republicans do this because they know democrats won’t fight back

JuddApatow They need to immediately sue when it happens.

Legal action should be a definite!!! And if the court won’t void democracy stealing legislation by the GOP...then the Dems need to start using the same tactics ASAP!!!

Declare a two hour state of emergency as his first act as governor and repeal or suspend any laws during the lame duck session. Drastic times call for drastic measures. What are Republicans going to say? That’s it’s unfair?

Out of the 4 or so such provisions which have generally reported to be of long-term strategic significance, the impression I get is that the only one with any hope of a legal remedy is the early voting thing. Pretty thin gruel for hungry Dems.

The GOP has degraded to the pathetic party they currently are. First, cowardice and enabling towards Trump. Election fraud in NC. Now bypassing the will of the electorate in Wisc & Mich. Time to vote these old white men out and return the party back to its original values.

daveweigel What a waste of money to sue. Evers should just give the money he would spend on legal fees directly to Foxconn instead.

Why is it lawful to create legislation this damaging to the incoming party AFTER the election? That's like pulling the rug out from under their feet as they walk through the door. The whole thing smells as putrid as voter suppression. What's the difference?

Ruling it out? Evers doesn't have any other choice. If Walker with his Wisconsin GOP undermines democracy, he's sworn to defend it.

What Mr. Evers, former head of department of public instruction, wants is power to put public service unions back in control of WI state budget. That has created a $2T deficit in 46 states. A bomb waiting to explode. Some think this started 1959 in WI. So who is grabbing power?

Scott Walker has been a corrupt, self-serving skunk and a detriment to the great people of Wisconsin throughout his entire Govenorship. I would love nothing more than to see him held accountable for any and all wrongdoings during his time in office.

Legal action? Sue them NOW!

It’s so bald-faced! They’re on autopilot for sure-not even shouting, “squirrel!” before stealing everybody’s watch.

You'll want to start by opening an investigation into the WEDC. Start indicting GOP donors.

Do it! If defeated Republicans in Wisconsin manage to change the governing structure just so their opponents will have less power ... then where does it stop? Which states will be next? And we all know Trump has got to be looking at WI with envy.

Sorry GOP, your laws are unConstitutional. Ignored.

michaelshure I would bloody well hope so!

WEEL I SURE AS HELL HOPE SO!! What the GOP are doing is criminal and petty. No sitting down here.

Well yeah, sure losers using a lame duck session to strip powers is so.....well lame

I was talking to a Wisconsinite last night. A brilliant woman who will be moving back for a year w her sabbatical and boy is she pissed. And guess what- all those voters who are being disenfranchised- they are too. Do not count on majority in WI to lay down. Ain’t happening!

Evers leaving nothing to chance after Wisconsin Republicans tinkered with the powers of his office.

Misuse of Position.

If it’s allowed to go forward in Wisconsin, it’ll become the norm all over the country.

Good to limit him We don't want to be the next Illinois Wallet stopped it can't start it up agAin

He needs to fight it. Our judicial system is the only thing right now keeping our democracy safe from these GOP goons. What Wisconsin is doing is an affront to our democracy and a disgrace. The will of the people spoke and should not be ignored.

Do it. NC did, and won.

I like it the dems are good at kicking opponents in the nuts. Guess who can't take it.

Please do take legal action. What they are doing is an absolute atrocity and subversion of our democracy!

He should. There should be something to prevent this sort of thing from happening. Absolutely shocking - regardless of party!

'isn't ruling out legal action' ought to be replaced by 'will sue the crap out of them'

If anyone wonders if Republicans don't care about democracy. Here's a great example!

Can't he do the Trumpian overturnings? Like the Paris Accord and the Iran deal...

What would be the basis for the legal action? A lame duck governor is still the governor, and he retains all the powers of the governor until a new one is sworn in.

THIS SHOWS CLEARLY HOW UNETHICAL THE GOP HAS BECOME AND HOW THEY REPRESENT WEALTHY DONORS AND IGNORE THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE.

Do it.
