Fintiri said this in Yola on Thursday at a formal launch of a book titled “Situation Analysis of Children in Adamawa .
”This document was jointly put together by the state planning commission in collaboration with United Nations Children’s Fund to address child-related cases,” he said.“My administration is fully committed to the implementation of policies that will enhance child’s protection and welfare,” Fintiri said.
He said that his administration has made the provision of free education a priority, as well as the establishment of viable health insurance schemes and the construction of healthcare facilities stocked with drugs and related consumables.“I urge all stakeholders to continue to support government policies for the wellbeing of children,” he said.
In his remarks, Mr Yusuf Auta, the UNICEF representative, said that the book focused on some essential elements such as child deprivation, survival and protection among others.
