One of Senzo Meyiwa's closest friends, Tumelo Madlala is testifying on behalf of the State in the trial into Meyiwa's murder.This has been a bone of contention because very little blood was found at the crime scene, even though Meyiwa was shot in the chest.
Madlala, who is the State's third witness in the trial into Meyiwa's murder, has been recounting the events that led up to Meyiwa's murder, as well as the shooting incident itself at the home of Meyiwa's girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, in Vosloorus on 26 October 2014. During his testimony, Madlala was shown a crime scene photograph of small spots of blood near to the TV stand.
At a stage, an unknown person gave him a light blue face cloth to put over the hole to stop the"blood from coming out". While he was in the vehicle, he noticed some blood on himself, Twala and on newspapers that had been in the vehicle.At the hospital, Meyiwa was eventually placed on a stretcher and taken away as the rest of the group sat on benches in a waiting room. "Kelly's mother came forward."Kelly's mother then came to us crying.
