Justice Minister Tyler Shandro asks Alberta Human Rights Commission chief to resign

In July, May came under fire following the resurfacing of a 2009 book review he wrote that critics say highlighted Islamophobic ideas.

"Upon receiving the letter, Minister Shandro requested an explanation from Mr. May," Shandro's press secretary Joseph Dow said in an emailed statement. "After reviewing the explanation, Minister Shandro has asked for Mr. May's resignation." National Council of Canadian Muslims spokesperson Said Omar said that after May committed to working with the community, Muslim leaders suggested dates for meeting with May, which he declined.Following the initial controversy, NCCM also became aware that May sent letters threatening legal action, Omar said.

Alberta Human Rights Commission chief simply has compromised his integrity.

Systemic bullying by Muslim Orgs!

All he had to do was meet with them, smile and nod for some photos and his old comments would have been forgiven but this was too much to bear, he chose his bigotry over keeping this job.

tylershandro Ask him to resign? FIRE him! Seriously! He's clearly not doing his job so let him go. Such an DonkeyChapeau it seems. Do something, anything, right for a change! UtterlyContemptibleParty ABCons UCPCaucus AlbertaJSG ableg abndpcaucus RachelNotley albertaNDP

Sounds like May actually knows what he's talking about in regards to Islamic history. Refreshing. He's to step down over an opinion?

Geez. Hope Shandro realizes I sla mb OnFobEe ah is a made up term to sate an ideology.

What he said about Islam being inherently militarized was fact. From the start Muhammad had tens of thousands of men at his disposal for conquest.

It’s almost like a certain religion in Canada has managed to implement something equivalent to anti-blasphemy laws.

Where there's a Muslim issue in Canada, Trudeau's bum buddy the Aga Khan can't be far away

Did he yell at them in their driveway to quit?

Good riddance.

But not for Christians, Jews, Hindu's..... just Muslims.

We’re they against mandates also

Why is he asking ? Kick his RACIST ASS TO THE CURB ! shandro is a pissant !

Chancro-id.

Shandro first

Can not wait to vote the UCP OUT Elitist 🤢 Calgary
