The documents outlining how Ware may have killed the woman were not available in the month following the indictment as he remained in custody in Montgomery County. He was transferred to the Harris County Jail on Wednesday and is expected next week in the 209th District Court. Prosecutors, meanwhile, have asked Ware's former employer, the National Football League, for records pertaining to his brief career. Ware played for Washington in 2003 and the San Francisco 49ers in 2004.
Ahead of his court appearance Monday, prosecutors have asked that Ware be held on a $1 million bond, citing arrests in California and Washington and a history of bond forfeitures and other violations in Montgomery County.He was found in possession of drugs twice in late April and in May and did not appear for supervision during either month, according to an order for arrest filed in the 221st District Court.nicole.hensley@chron.
