On June 4, 2020, Ghani was arrested by the officers near E. 27th Avenue and Windermere Street in Vancouver after watching him drive up to a man identified in the written ruling only as Mr. Mahar. The officers approached and arrested all three, but Mahar and his passenger were released because no drugs were found on them.Diguangco searched Ghani’s car and found two cellphones, one with four calls in the previous hour and “he testified the calls were consistent with people ordering drugs.” They also found $1,820 in a wallet and two $50 bills in the cupholder. The drugs were found on him after a strip search.
