The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has said it will appeal the Friday judgement of a Plateau State High Court discharging and acquitting a former governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, and an ex-cashier in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Yusuf Pam, of the charges of alleged N6.3bn fraud preferred against them by the commission.

that ex-governor Jang, and former cashier in the OSSG of Plateau State, Pam, were on Friday morning discharged and acquitted of the 17 counts against them.

The commission’s statement read, “The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been drawn to the Friday, September 2, 2022 judgment of Justice C. L.
