"Don't criticise without reading the reasons behind the judgments," he said during the Malaysian Parliament Symposium 2022 here on Tuesday .Mohamed Raus' comments come amidst several widely-publicised cases involving politicians. Amonf them are graft trials involving former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, DAP national chairman Lim Guan Eng and Malaysian United Democratic Alliance president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Raus defended the independence of the judiciary, dispelling allegations of outside influence when cases are being decided,"We are not influenced by the other bodies although there is a lot of perception that a judge's decision is based on support towards a particular person or that the judgment is in disregard to a decision of the executive," he added.
He added that the judiciary does not get involved in the legislative process and deems laws passed by Parliament as Constitutional."Those wanting to challenge the law as being unconstitutional will have to prove this to the court," he said.
That’s unfair! Most of these supporters don’t know their A to Z. 🤣🤣🤣
