High Court clears ex-spy chief of RM50 million CBT charge

A High Court judge has cleared former director-general of the now-defunct Malaysian External Investigation Organisation Hasanah Abdul Hamid of criminal breach of trust. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, August 9, 2022.

FORMER intelligence chief Hasanah Abdul Hamid was cleared of criminal breach of trust at Kuala Lumpur High Court this morning,Judicial commissioner Roz Mawar Rozain ruled that Hasanah’s dismissal not amounting to acquittal in April last year was “not fair”, adding that justice was not served that way.
