A grieving son is being dragged to court for refusing to leave his home of nearly 50 years following the death of his 81-year-old mother.

Steve White, 53, moved into the three-bed semi in Stourbridge, West Midlands, with his parents in 1974 and has lived there ever eince.

He added: ‘You’d think they could use some discretion at a time like that but they were on me straight away saying I was being kicked out. He has offered to pay the £400-a-month rent to stay at the property but says his appeals have been refused.
